Valentine’s Day 2019| Baseball Bucket List & More

Since I’ve been with my husband, I’ve always searched for ways to be creative and cute on Valentine’s Day. I’ve scoured Pinterest for years, and looked for things to do that are practical and not too goofy (it never works haha).

One year, I made a bouquet of marshmallows rearranged like flowers in a jar. Another year, I made cupcakes. The next after that, I made an “Open When” letter set. I know that Valentine’s day isn’t really all that important in the grand scheme of things, and I’d never want Ryley to feel like he has to do stuff for me, but I honestly love doing things for him on Valentine’s day.

This year I attempted to make a chalkboard that serves as a Baseball Bucket List. Ryley absolutely loves baseball, and I know he has always wanted to travel to all of the baseball stadiums/fields around the country. So, I picked up some supplies from Michael’s and went to town on the project.

I want him to be able to keep track of all of the places he has been and all the places he wants to go, so I thought this was the perfect inexpensive gift for him. It was so easy to paint the glass on the picture and write all the stadiums on it with chalk marker!

My attempt at gluten free cinnamon rolls….

I also decided that I would try to make him a awful sugar filled breakfast. What would Valentine’s day be without a ton of sugar? I tried making heart shaped bacon and heart-ish shaped pancakes (I’M SO CHEESY IT HURTS ME), gluten free sugar cookies, and cinnamon rolls. I still have yet to figure out certain gluten free bakes. Sugar cookies and cinnamon rolls are two of them! He thought they were amazing though, so I’m not complaining. I’ll figure it out one of these days!

Ryley surprised me with some of my favorite sweets. Has anyone ever tried the Sea Salt Caramel Chips from Hersheys? They are amazing. I found them over the holiday season back at home, and I couldn’t stop eating them. So dangerous for the girl who wants to eat healthy! He also got me my favorite cold pressed juice from the local juicery (is that even a word??). Nothing beats a beet and ginger juice for me. NOTHING!

He made me leave the house around 3:30. I had no idea what I was coming back to. I went out and shopped around at the local mall, and came back to him making me supper. Talk about a surprise!

He made us four different types of chicken breast, sweet potatoes, and broccoli. So healthy and tasted good! It’s a rare thing to have the husband in the kitchen, so when it happens, a picture and a sigh of relief is necessary. Haha! I’m so thankful for him and all the little things he did for me throughout the day!

We spent our evening re-watching some episodes of The Office and The Great British Bake Off. Sometimes it’s nice to sit around and be lazy 😝

I hope you all had a great day!

It’s officially Friday, so have a great weekend!!
